This is a Raku fired sculpture of a bird on a buoy.
Inspired by the seabirds seen perched on mooring buoys in many harbours around the UK. The birds seem to embody the spirit of untameable independence, touching down briefly at the edge of our world.
It would make an unusual gift for a bird lover or person with nautical interests.
The modelling is done by hand and is unique to this sculpture. The legs of the bird are made from wire with plastic sleeving.
- Care: This sculpture is for indoor use.
- Materials: Raku clay, Raku glazes.
