This is a Raku fired sculpture of a bird on a buoy.
Inspired by seabirds perched on mooring buoys in many harbours around the UK. The birds seem to embody the spirit of independence and the untameable, touching the edge of our world.
It would make an unusual gift for a bird lover or person with nautical interests. The modelling is done by hand and is unique to this sculpture. The legs of the bird are made from copper wire with plastic sleeve.
