This is a Raku fired sculpture of a bird on a buoy.
The bird has opened its wings, as if drying out its feathers in the sun. One of the neater inhabitants of the harbour this one has a care for its appearance. It is also quite territorial over this particular orange buoy.
It would make an unusual gift for a bird lover or person with nautical interests.
The modelling is done by hand and is unique to this sculpture. The legs of the bird are made from wire with plastic sleeving.
Dimensions: 4" height x 3" width x 4" length.
Materials: Raku clay, Raku glazes.
