Chris will help you to create your own pieces of Raku pottery and sculpture, and experience the excitement of Raku firing. With lectures, demos and discussion, also visit places of interest to potters: Blackwell Arts and Crafts House and a local gallery or studio.

Chris will take pots to The Diessen Potters Market for the second time. We will have a new gazebo and new pots.

The event is designed to be accessible, both for exhibitors and the public.
There will be 40 stands across two floors.
York Ceramics Fair is taking place as part of a larger city wide festival, Ceramics+Design Now, so there will be plenty to engage ceramics and design enthusiasts around the city centre.
Alongside their exhibition ‘Lucie Rie: The Button Factory’, the Centre of Ceramic Art (CoCA) will be running their extremely popular Day of Clay on Saturday 6th October with workshops, handson sessions, and demonstrations taking place throughout the day. On Sunday 7th there will be a programme of talks and films including high profile speakers in association with CoCA to offer a varied ancillary programme of activities throughout the weekend.
